Bergmann has been practicing meditation and yoga since 1997. He trained to be a yoga teacher with Yogi Shanti Desai and Ásmundur Gunnlaugsson in 1998, and took an advanced training with Sri Yogi Hari in 2004. Bergmann ran his own studio in Iceland from 2001 to 2006 and has been teaching yoga and meditation on the side ever since he arrived in the USA in 2010. He is registered at the highest level with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500) and regularly teaches at the Living Yoga Program and the Texas Yoga Retreat.
​These days, Bergmann focuses on a meditative approach called Presence of Mind Yoga. It is a no sweat and gentle stretching approach to the poses that incorporates breathing, radical acceptance, and absolute awareness. It is great for reducing stress and anxiety. He also teaches a simple approach to meditation and is working on a new book about the topic. Please contact Bergmann if you would like him to teach at your studio or conference.
